The Division of Finance & Enterprise Development, through the Tobago Information Technology Limited, established this programme to:
1. Ensure that every resident of Tobago is afforded the opportunity to become computer literate irrespective of age, academic background or financial status.
2. Develop the skills and marketability of all participants.
3. Provide computer access to all via its “Walk-In Centres”.
4. Create centres in various communities.
In 2015, our IT Literacy and Community ‘Walk-In’ Programme was certified for three years by the Ministry of Public Administration as one of their first recipients of the Trinidad and Tobago Diamond Standard.
Trinidad and Tobago Diamond Standard Awardees 2015.
The I.T. Literacy Courses offer participants an understanding of the key philosophies of computer usage and Microsoft Office applications that are used for administrative, personal or business process improvement. At the end of these sessions, participants are certified as being capable of successfully manipulating the computer and more commonly used Microsoft Office applications.
Interested persons can download forms from this site or can collect forms at any of the eleven “Walk-In Centres” located across the island. Once the completed form is received, the interested party will be called once a vacancy in a class becomes available.
